The Ghost Light Residency
Engaging solo dance-theatre artists in the empty theaters of the greater Los Angeles ares.

We are looking for Los Angeles based underrepresented dance theater artists to creatively reflect on how the pandemic and growing social justice movements of 2020 have informed their artistic process and expression. Each selected artist will be given time and space to work on a new solo creation inside of a partnering theater venue. Multiple residencies will occur throughout the months of February to July. Based on availability of proscenium spaces during the pandemic, each artist will receive a designated amount of days, as well as a $1,000 honorarium. Applications that meet our criteria will be put into a lottery-based selection process to avoid hierarchal decision making. Each artist may only apply once!
